The challenging time of the Covid-19 spread requires us all to react quickly and to make major changes to our usual processes. This also applies to the EB House.

With great effort and in the shortest possible time, the University Hospital in Salzburg set up a special Covid Clinic. For technical, medical and logistical reasons, the choice for the location of this new unit fell on House D, which also contains the dermatology department and the EB House. In the Covid Clinic, infected patients can be cared for as best as possible and further infections can be curbed. Until further notice, the EB House will serve the Covid Clinic staff as personnel base and entry point to hygiene locks of the Covid Clinic. Therefore, the premises are currently not available for us. All employees of the EB House have now switched to home office and are still available via email. They are also ready to support the team of the University Hospital with helping hands should there be a shortage of personnel in laboratories, administration or other areas.

In urgent cases, the "butterfly children" can of course count on our EB outpatient clinic team, which will take care of large and small patients even in these difficult times. We hope that the government's measures will take effect and that we can resume normal operations in the near future.
