About us

‘Understanding – Helping – Learning – Healing’. These four terms describe perfectly the four organisational units of the EB House Austria, which are the Outpatient Clinic, the Research Unit, the Study Centre and the Academy.

Competent medical care has been the main priority since the EB House Austria specialised clinic opened its doors more than ten years ago – and our clinic at the University Hospital Salzburg has meanwhile become a Centre of Expertise in Austria and beyond. In the EB House built by the DEBRA Austria patients’ organisation, EB patients are treated by dedicated medical staff who possess the qualifications that are absolutely necessary when dealing with a multisystemic disease like EB – specialised knowledge, many years of experience and a great deal of compassion and empathy.
